Fitnexa for trainers: a tour of the trainer portal
What each item in the Fitnexa trainer menu does, what sits under More, the app's bottom tabs, and what trainers can and can't change themselves.
When your fitness center adds you as a trainer, Fitnexa gives you a trainer portal on the website and a trainer view in the Fitnexa app. It's built around three things: your sessions, the members assigned to you, and their training.
This page walks through the menu so you know where everything lives, and explains which things your center's admin controls instead of you.
The main menu on the website
The trainer menu has the same layout as your admin's — the same entries in the same order, under the same More groups — plus a few coaching pages of your own. Anything your role isn't allowed simply doesn't appear.
Dashboard — today at a glance: your hours, how many sessions you have and the list of today's sessions.
Check-In Desk — check members in at the front desk, if your role has Check members in / out.
My Schedule — a month calendar of every session you're booked for.
My Members — the members your center has assigned to you. Open one to see their record, enrol them in programs, write workout plans and record measurements.
Members & Staff — your center's full member and staff lists.
Reminders — follow-ups for payments, birthdays and leads, if your role has View & manage reminders.
Schedule & Classes — trainers' hours and the sessions booked against them.
Messages — chat with your members and the rest of the team.
At the bottom of the menu you'll see Signed in as with your name and the role Trainer.
In the Trainer menu, select Dashboard.
What's under More
More holds extra pages grouped under Operations (Attendance, Plans and Programs, Training Programs, Trainers, My Check-in Pass), Sales (Leads CRM, Promotions) and Admin (Tickets, Fitnexa Support).
You only see the items your role has permission for, so two trainers at different centers can see different lists. Plans and Programs, for example, needs the Manage pricing plans permission.
An admin's menu also has Analytics and the Finance and Assets groups, and more under Admin. Trainer roles can't be given those, so you won't see them.
In the Trainer menu, open More, then select Training Programs.
The Fitnexa app
In the app, the bottom tab bar has Dashboard, My Schedule, My Members, Messages and More. More lists the rest of the menu, under the same groups as the website.
The app also has a coaching screen for each member, where you can log progress and add notes to recent sessions.
What trainers can do by default
A new trainer role starts with these permissions: View members, Manage 1-to-1 sessions, Manage training programs, Member progress, Manage classes & schedules, Manage attendance and Message members & staff.
Your admin can take any of these away in Settings › Roles & Permissions. Trainers can never be given finance, assets or admin permissions, or the permission to send notifications.
What your admin handles instead
Some things are set by your center, not by you: your working hours and time off, which members are assigned to you, the training programs and their stages, and session statuses such as completed or no-show.
If something looks wrong in any of these, message your center's admin from Messages.
Common questions
Why is my menu different from another trainer's?
Each item under More appears only if your role has the matching permission. Your admin may have given you, or another trainer, extra or fewer permissions.
Can I use Fitnexa as a trainer at more than one center?
Yes. Each center invites you separately, and you switch between them from your account menu. See Switch accounts or roles.
Is there a separate app for trainers?
No. Trainers use the same Fitnexa app as everyone else — once you sign in with your trainer account, it shows the trainer tabs.
