How to send a member a Face ID enrolment request with a PIN

Send a member a PIN so they can enrol their own face at your kiosk. Do it from Members & Staff or the member's profile, and choose how long the PIN lasts.

A Face ID request lets a member enrol their face at the kiosk on their own. You set a short PIN, they go to the kiosk, tap their name and type the PIN, and the kiosk captures their face.

Step by step

  1. Find the member

    Click Members & Staff in the left-hand menu and find the member. Click the Request Face ID icon on their row.

    In the Admin menu, select Members & Staff.

  2. Set the PIN and send

    Enter a PIN and choose when it expires under Expires in — 1 hour, 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days. Click Send request.

    You'll see Request sent ✓ and a reminder to ask the member to go to the gym's Face ID device, tap their name and enter the PIN.

  3. Or send it from the member's profile

    Open the member's profile and, in the App access card, click Request Face ID. Here you can also pick a Kiosk device (or Any kiosk in this center), set a PIN (4–8 digits) and add a Note (optional), then click Send request.

If something goes wrong

There's no kiosk to choose
Create a kiosk in More › Devices › Device Accounts and sign it in, then send the request again.
The member says the PIN doesn't work
It may have expired. Send a new request with a longer Expires in and tell them the new PIN.

Common questions

Does the member need the app to enrol?

No. They only need to be at the kiosk with the PIN you gave them.

Do I need to approve the face afterwards?

Only if Require Enrollment Approval is on in Face ID Settings. Then approve it in More › Face ID Approvals.
