How to set up a Fitnexa check-in kiosk device account
Create a device account for your front-desk tablet or kiosk, choose what it may do, and sign it in with your Company ID, username and a 10-character password.
A kiosk is a tablet or screen at your entrance where members check in with their face or QR pass. Each kiosk signs in with its own device account — not a person's login — so you can lock or revoke it without affecting anyone else.
Step by step
Open Devices › Device Accounts
Click More, then Devices under Assets. On Device Accounts you'll see your Company ID with a Copy button — a Fitnexa kiosk signs in with this Company ID plus its own device username and password.
In the Admin menu, open More, then select Devices.
- Device Accounts (select this tab)
- Device Registry
- Kiosks
- Access Control
Create the account
Click New Device Account. Set Device Type to Kiosk and choose Fitnexa Kiosk (for a third-party access terminal, see the related article instead).
Give it a Display Name and a Device Username. Choose Allowed Subjects (All, Members Only or Staff Only) and Allowed Actions (Check-In & Out, Check-In Only or Check-Out Only).
Set a Password of at least 10 characters with a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a number and a special character — the checklist ticks off each rule. Click Create Account.
Sign the kiosk in
On the kiosk, go to fitnexa.io/kiosk and enter the Company ID, Username and Password, then tap Sign In. Or click Open kiosk in browser on the account's card if you're setting it up on this computer.
Using the dedicated Fitnexa kiosk app? Click Setup QR on the card and scan it with the app — it fills in the Company ID and username for you.

Each card shows whether the kiosk is online. Use Logs to see its recent activity, Edit to change its settings, Lock/Unlock to pause it, Revoke to sign it out, and Deactivate when you retire it. The cards at the top show Total Devices, Online Now and High Failure (60m) — kiosks with many failed scans in the last hour.
If something goes wrong
- The Create Account button stays disabled
- The password doesn't meet every rule yet. It needs at least 10 characters with a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a number and a special character.
- The kiosk shows a pairing code instead of signing in
- Your center asks you to approve new browser kiosks. Approve the 6-digit code on the Kiosks tab.
Common questions
Can one device account be used on two tablets?
Create a separate account for each kiosk so you can see which one a scan came from and lock one without the other.
Where do I find my Company ID?
