Sound familiar?
Crowding after workouts
The steam room fills up the moment the evening batch ends, and nobody else can get in.
Free rides on steam access
Members on a gym-only plan slip in because nobody at the door can tell who paid for steam.
Hygiene breaks with no schedule
Cleaning breaks get skipped because the room is never officially empty.
Add-on money not tracked
Single steam passes are paid in cash and never tied to a member or an invoice.

A day with Fitnexa
Steam slots at this gym run every 20 minutes from 6 AM, with ten minutes between them for wiping down benches. Each slot is a recurring session with room for eight. Members book from the Fitnexa app after they finish their workout plan, and anyone arriving without a booking is shown the next open slot at the desk.
A member on a gym-only plan asks to try the steam room. The desk sells a single steam add-on, records the UPI payment and emails the invoice with the gym's logo. Their QR code now lets them in for that slot, while the entry rule still stops anyone without steam access from checking in.
On Monday the owner marks next Thursday as a blackout date for the boiler service, and the steam slots for that day disappear from booking. The weekly KPI email shows steam add-on sales against the gym plans, and the heatmap shows 7 to 8:30 PM is where most of the pressure is.

Cleaning time protected
Leave gaps between steam slots in the schedule and mark closed days as blackout dates, so maintenance actually happens.
Access tied to the plan
Steam is a plan or add-on of its own, and entry rules stop members without it from checking in.
One desk for everything
Towels, lockers, single passes and the gym check-in happen at the same counter, on the same member record.

Common questions
- Can I sell steam access only to some members?
- Yes. Make steam a separate plan or add-on and use entry rules so only members with that plan can check in for a slot.
- Can I block the steam room for maintenance?
- Yes. Mark the day as a blackout date or remove the slots from the schedule, and members can't book them.
- How many people can book one slot?
- Whatever you set. Each slot has a capacity, and once it's reached new bookings go to the waitlist.
- Can the front desk sell single passes?
- Yes. The desk can raise an invoice for a single pass and record cash, card, UPI or bank transfer.
