How to scan a member's QR check-in pass with your phone
Use the Fitnexa app's Scan QR on the staff Check-in Desk to check members in with your phone camera — handy at the door, a class or a busy desk.
You don't need a desk or scanner to check members in. The Fitnexa app on your phone can read a member's check-in pass with its camera.
Step by step
Open the Check-in Desk screen
Tap the Check-In tab at the bottom. The Check-in Desk screen shows Live check-ins as they happen.

The Scan QR screen opens with Check in a member's pass. Allow camera access the first time, then Point the camera at the member's check-in pass. It checks them in as soon as it reads the code.

After each result, tap Scan next to keep going.

If something goes wrong
- Invalid or expired QR code
- Passes refresh for security. Ask the member to close and reopen their pass, then scan again.
- The camera shows a black screen
- Allow camera access for the Fitnexa app in your phone's settings, then reopen Scan QR.
Common questions
Does scanning with my phone count the same as the desk?
Yes. It's the same check-in, recorded in attendance and shown on the Check-In Desk's Recent Events.
